Christmas at the Cawley's!

This is my favorite house in Taylor. These are my friends the Cawleys. They decorate their house so beautiful every year. They have the Nativity scene, Santa's workshop, Elves, reindeer and Christmas music playing on speakers that you can hear a block away. They live just down the street from where we live and we often walk up to their house on Christmas Eve to see the decorations.

Christmas at my house

Well, this is my house decorated inside and out. It snowed about 8 inches today and it made everything look so clean and white. I love this time of year. Merry Christmas to everyone! Hope Santa brings you everything you ask for!

My Utah Trip

I thought I'd take one last trip to Utah before I started my new job at Tobyhanna Army depot. My mom, dad and I flew to Salt Lake City to visit family and friends. As you can see we went to a Jazz game, went to see the Temple grounds, with my friend Cherie, that were all decorated for the holidays, and spent time with family. I went to Park City, with my friends Heidi, Erin, her husband Mike and their litle girl Reagan. The weather was beautiful there. We left 20 degree weather and wound up in 50's and 60's. I wasn't complaining. It's always nice to visit Utah. I miss it

terribly. I always say if my family lived there I still would be there. I was also there when the University of Utah (ranked #6 in the nation) played their rivals BYU. It was a close game for about the first half and then Utah blew it wide open. I'm sure they will get a really good bowl game to play in, probably the Fiesta Bowl. It's always good to see my friends and old roomates out here. I only get to see Cherie, Erin and Heidi sometimes once a year. It was fun visiting with Ryan, Natalie and Kinley. Kinley started walking when we were there and was doing pretty good when we
left. She was really pleasant when we were there. People that read this will have to laugh at this part: ok everytime I come out to Utah which is usually once a year I bring home some crazy new idea to get into. The first time it was a cricket to scrapbook with, the next year it was by far my most expensive purchase with a vinyl cutter and this year I am now a SCENTSY consultant. This is like the latest and greatest thing in candles. Who doesn't like candles right???? So I am going to attempt to sell this product in Pennsylvania. It is so HOT in Uath and the west right now that I
don't doubt it will do great here. But all in all it was really fun.

This is my favorite time of the year. I took a drive the other day and took some pictures of the fall foliage. There are some beautiful places right now that are just bursting with color. Wanted to share them with you all.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Here is my 7th & 8th Grade basketball team. We recently went to a hair salon here in Taylor and all got "Pinked!" We raised over $350 for Breast Cancer and we had a great time doing it. We beat Abington and we decided to all go get it done on Friday. I even got mine done. You can't really tell from these pictures but up close you can see the streaks in my bangs. We all had a good time. I'm sure the ladies at the hair salon needed a drink after we all left.

Penn State Fan!!!!

As you all know, we are HUGE Penn State fans! They are doing so well this year. Rebekah and her family go down to State College about every couple of weeks. They took Cole to his first game and as you can see from the video he's got his cheers down. I thought it was so funny that he was actually yelling them (like they would at the stadium) that I wanted to share it with you. Go PSU!!!!!!!

Lady Vikes 7th & 8th grade Basketball team

This is my first year as head coach of the 7th & 8th grade basketball team at Riverside. My assistant coach is Shannon (Powell) Cosminski who played with me on the state team. We should have a really good season. The 8th grade team last year as 7th graders went undefeated. There will be a few teams that give us good games but I think we should win our division. It's been a fun experience. I often wonder if the girls like us or think we're too hard as coaches. We've made them run alot in practice so they would be ready to play a full game when we need them. Wish me luck!

Ok, so I don't have kids and pretty much lead a boring life. So I figured I'd put in some pictures of my nieces and nephews. They are so fun to be around!

My BIG Catch!

I recently went fishing with my 3 brothers Tim, Ryan and Chris. We split up into teams and had a little competition. (everything usually ends up a compitition when we all get together). So, it was Chris and I, against Tim and Ryan. Well, in the end my team ended up winning 10-8. I pulled in some nice size Bass. We really had a fun day fishing.

Our big Fishing Day!

This was our big fishing day. We got up at 4:30 am to get up into Honesdale by 5:30. We got into our boats and we started hearing this loud noise while we were on the water. It sounded like cows! I was informed that it was FROGS croaking! It was so loud, I couldn't believe it. But it was a beautiful area, all green and lush. The entire pond had these pretty white and fuschia lily pads and flowers all over. It really was a great day.

TCC Girls Basketball Camp

Alexa and her new BFF Madison Haduck

I just finished holding a basketball camp for my league. My sister Rebekah, Holly Morgan, Morgann Haduck and Amanda Yackobowitz helped me. We had two age groups, k-4 and then 5-8. I think it went really well and all the girls learned a lot. Mike and Erin (friends from Utah) were able to get me a bunch of give a ways from FANZZ (love those JAZZ). All the girls got something to take home. It was a huge success.

Girl's Day Out in New York City

"Ground Zero" Everything is leveled and cleaned up. They are starting to rebuild.

This was a steel beam they kept after the towers collapsed. It still has a piece of metal from some building on it.

All the girls in the Subway waiting to go uptown.
